|
The following are educational or industry bodies who are doing research and development of Enterprise Models and/or Enterprise Integration.
- Aachen University Information Systems Department is carrying out projects in Databases and Meta-Databases, Process-Integrated Information Systems, and Information Systems in Chemical Engineering.
- Agility Forum at Lehigh University
- AIT Consortium is working on Advanced IT solutions for European Manufacturing Industry.
- Center for Coordination Science at MIT
- CIFE Center for Integrated Facility Engineering at Stanford University. This group is in the forefront of engineering design software and their annual summer program is a great way to find out what is going on in automation of plant engineering.
- Enterprise Integration Clearing House at Griffith University in Brisbane Australia. Peter Bernus of Griffith has been involved in PERA and GERAM development for many years.
- Enterprise Intergation Laboratory at the University of Toronto is an excellent source of information on ontological models, PERA, and much more...
- Enterprise Project at the Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute in Edinburough.
- IMS Intelligent Manufacturing Systems project is "an industry-led, international research and development program established in 1995 to develop the next generation of manufacturing and process technologies". A listing of IMS projects includes both completed and endorsed programs, each of which presents its results on their individual website.
- Laboratory for Automation and Industrial Control Purdue University. This group was responsible for the initial development of PERA under the direction of Dr. Ted Williams, who continues his association as Professor Emeritus.
- Manufacturing Systems Integration Research Institute Loughborough University.
- Zachman Institute for Framework Advancement ZIFA is a private institute, rather than a public or industry body. ZIFA has been used by several large corporations as an "Enterprise Integration Framework". It shares several PERA concepts including strong project "phasing", and standard definitions of documentation formats and deliverables, however ZIFA does not specifically address human roles and interfaces.
