The PERA structure makes it possible to identify products or services for use in specific applications in specific industries:

1. Industry (e.g. Refining or Oil Fields)
2. Enterprise Phase (e.g. Engineering or Operations)
3. Human Role (Responsible Profession)
4. Architecture Level for Control & Information Systems (e.g. control device or MES)
5. Plant Area/Unit for Facilities (e.g. Tank Farm/Pump House)

The Engineering Workbook database contains thousands of Industrial products and servuces that can be searched by keyword or hierarchial product classes. At present, these products are mainly focused on the oil and gas industry, but in time, it is intended to expand this to cover as many industries as user interest permits.
