FIELDBUS STANDARD

The "Fieldbus Standard for Use in Industrial Control Systems" is defined by ANSI / ISA - 50.02. This is a multi-part document that can be ordered online from the ISA as follows:

• Part 2 Physical Layer Specification and Service Definition - 1992
• Part 3 Data Link Service Definition - 1997
• Part 4 Data Link Protocol Specification - 1997
• Part 5 Application layer Service Definition - 1998
• Part 6 Application Layer Protocol Specification - 1998
• Part 9 User Layer Technical Report - 2000

In addition, the standard is supported by ISA "Technical Report for Fieldbus TR50.02" which has been published in the following parts:

• Parts 3 & 4 Data Link Layer - Tutorial - 2000
