Educational Materials for Enterprise Integration and Cybersecurity

The following Universities and Government Organizations are developing course materials on Industrial Enterprise Integration and Cybersecurity

PERA addresses Enterprise Architectures from sensors and control systems to the corporate head office, which of course includes IT systems. However, since PERA is focused on industrial and critical infrastructure enterprises, the following prioritizes education and reference materials that also include automation and Control Systems (ACS). Note that some of these materials refer to ICS (Industrial Control Systems) which is an alternate term to ACS. They may also refer to OT (Operational Technology) which is a term introduced by Gartner to describe systems that may influence plant control, but that also include IT infrastructure.

• United States National Institute of Standards (NIST) provides Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology for managing cybersecurity and privacy risk. RMF Online Introductory Courses are developed by NIST and available on-demand, and free of charge. NIST is also examining possible degree program content as well as industrial training courses and certifications.
• Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is working with Boise State University and University of Idaho to develop a framework to pursue innovations in advanced energy and cybersecurity for protecting critical infrastructure.
• The Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute in Edinburough is undertaking an "Enterprise Project".

• The University of Toronto Enterprise Intergation Laboratory is a good source of information on ontological models.

• Introduction to Internet of Things is a free course provided by Stanford University. It addresses the building blocks of IoT and the underlying technologies that drive the IoT revolution.

• Griffith School of Information and Communication Technology provides courses on data analytics, artificial intelligence, IT infrastructure management and Cyber Security.

• Canadian Government provides a centralized source for Cyber security advice and guidance for large organizations and critical infrastructure.

• Zachman International is a private company that provides provides education and research on the Zachman Enterprise Integration Framework".
• International Society of Automation (ISA) provides certified courses in industrial cybersecurity including educational credits that are accepted by United States Universities.

A key issue is what degree programs should be provided by universities and what skills should be taught at industrial training organizations.
